Festival Of Quilts 2014

It’s that time of year again! I’m getting packed up and ready to head to one of my all time favourite shows – The festival of Quilts at the NEC, Birmingham!

I can’t believe that this time last year, I was just starting out on my little Made Peachy journey – driving up to Birmingham to demonstrate for Vilene at my first in a series of shows. To say I was a little nervous would have been a huge understatement! But, it was a blast, I met some of the most amazing people, saw some incredible quilts, bought way to much fabric and had a brilliant time.

I’m so excited to be heading back to the show next week – Festival of Quilts runs from the 7 -10 August at the NEC, Birmingham – not got your tickets yet? You can get them online!
FOQ 14 1This year, myself and the supremely talented Kim Thittichai will be on the Vilene stand at M8 demonstrating just some of the amazing things that you can do with Vilene products, showing you the ranges and also helping out with any project trouble shooting you may have! Last year I loved how many people came by to chat about their latest makes, to learn about different techniques and to simply say Hi! I can’t wait to meet more of y’all this year!

Psst! I’ve shared lots of tutorials for how to use Vilene products  – so, search Vilene in the side bar search box to see find something to inspire your next project!

Now, I really had better get my head down and get some samples stitching so that I have something exciting to show y’all…if anyone needs me I’ll be at the sewing machine frantically stitching and pressing eleventy billion seams!
FOQ LanyardAlso…I made myself a sweet lanyard for my show pass, partly because I’m fancy that way, but mainly because I wanted  it to be super long so that I can wear it sash-style across my body…not round my neck-choke-hazard-style!

Are you heading to the Festival of Quilts this year? Do you exhibit at the show? Let in touch – it would be ace to meet up!

I’ve never tried quilting, but your posts do tempt me! My girls would probably love their own special quilts when we get around to doing their bedroom up. Have a fab time at the NEC. I met you there at the Hobbycraft show a few months back (I’d missed the train and then couldn’t make a collar with you *sob*). Do you come to Brum often?

Could you possibly put together a tutorial for the lanyard? Just broke the one I use for my keys and yours looks perfect! Thanks 🙂

Great idea Julia! I was thinking I needed a new cute key fob too, would make a rad set…I’ll get on to it after FOQ next week!
