October 19, 2013 | Style, Tried & Tested | 6 Comments

You know sometimes you add a cute little picture to your Instagram feed and lots of those sweet little lovehearts pop up on your feed to let you know that folks love your photo? Well, last week, I added a little selfie to show off the delicious Narelle shawl pattern, not only did the knitting design seem to got down a storm, so did my little face!

I’m not the most comfortable in front of a camera –  in fact, I usually prefer to be on the other side taking the snaps! But, when needs must you’ll spot a little selfie or a outfit post popping up here and there. So, when a few folks commented on how lovely the picture was – I thought I might share a little beauty post to show some the lovely new products from BareFaced Beauty that I’ve been using lately!

Barefaced Beauty Review Made PeachyI’m not a fan of the caked-on super heavy make up look. So, knowing that with a mineral foundation I can apply just the smallest pinch at a time until I’m happy with the coverage, is perfect. I had expected the whole process to be rather messy, I mean tapping out the powder pigment, buffing it on with the Kabuki brush until the coverage is even, I’d half expected to disappear in a huge puff of powder – but no, it was surprisingly quick and fuss free. Because the make up is powder based, your skin needs to be really well hydrated with moisturiser before you begin applying.
I love Lush’s deliciously scented Imperialis for super hydrated and silky skin.

Once the foundation has been buffed on and cheek bones accentuated with a little rosy blush a sweep of the finishing powder is all you need to be camera ready! There are heaps of pigment shades to choose from to match your skin tone perfectly – or even a handy Mineral Starter Kit, £45, with everything you need for a flawless, natural look!
Barefaced Beauty Review Made PeachyAngel Eyes Kit in Smokey is ideal for a quick day-to-night transformation, boosting a subtle look with smokey impact for the evening. The handy brush allows you to blend the pigments to create the perfect look, and with the addition of a little water, transforms into the most dramatic liquid eyeliner. What can I say? I’m sold!

Barefaced Beauty Review Made PeachyI’m a super fan of the Kabuki Brush, £15, not only is it retractable making it fantastic for stowing in a cosmetics purse, the super soft bristles give a lovely even coverage making applying the mineral foundation quick and easy. What’s more, I found that unlike other make foundations that might require touching up throughout the day, simply sweeping the brush over the skin seems to refresh and revive the look and finish instantly – who could ask for more?!

Bearfaced Beauty Review Made PeachyI’m wearing Mineral Foundation in Innocent,£15, Mineral Blusher in Aphrodite, £10 and Finishing Powder in English Rose, £14. Ok you guys, that’s enough about me. Let’s talk about you, how would you feel about winning your own Angel Eyes set from BareFaced Beauty? I know, that would be neat, huh?
