Narelle is one of my all time favourite designs; it’s a quick & stylish knit that will add a touch of class to any garment. Because it is worked up in one skein of Manos Silk Blend, using 15mm needles you can complete this garter stitch project in a weekend!

Grab your supplies…
Manos del Uruguay, Silk blend shade 6828 (Gemini), one 100g skein
15mm needles
Tapestry needle

YarnBallMainBeautiful hand-dyed Manos Silk Blend comes in skeins, remember to wind it into a ball before you begin, so you don’t get into a tangle as you knit!

Finished shawl measurements
Width 254cm
Length 90cm

Tension
8sts x 9 rows
10cm x 10cm
Garter stitch
15mm needles
Manos Silk Blend Made Peachy Narelle ShawlNarelle Shawl
With 15mm needles cast on 3sts
Row 1: k1, m1, k to end of row
Repeat Row 1 until there are 54sts on the needle
Next Row: k1, m1, k to last st, m1, k1
Repeat this row until there are 74sts on the needle
Next Row: k1, m1, k1, m1, k to last two sts, m1, k1, m1, k1
Repeat this row until there are 178sts on the needle
Cast off loosely and weave in loose ends

Now, wrap this around your shoulders and tell me that you don’t feel that you’ve just wrapped yourself up in a bit of luxury!

    I LOVE this! what a great way to use a vibrant, special skein, and also- years ago I had a cat named Narelle, spelled the same way and everything.
