Quick Catch Up: Hello August

August 6, 2013 | Reads | No Comments

Wow! So it’s August already! Where has the time gone?

The last four weeks have been busy ones; packed with lots of making and doing and hanging out with family & friends. The sun has been shining and the all seems to be going right with the world.

July seems to have been a month of sewing for me. Getting ready to head off to the Festival of Quilts. I’m pretty excited to be packing up the car and heading over to the NEC Birmingham for four days of quilting inspiration, meeting new folks and generally having some fun! That makes all those days of sitting in doors at the sewing machine when it’s gloriously sunny outside all worth while.
For those of you heading over to the big show, come over and say Hi – you’ll find me over on stand D5 We’ve got stacks of exciting projects and products to show you – and a special show discount for my sewing book!

Here’s a quick catch up on some of the things that have been going on this last month:

In Other News:
I’m currently re-listening to the Sookie Stackhouse series (for the eleventy billionth time) on Audible  – if any one has any awesome audiobook recommendations give me a shout.
I’ve just discovered the TV series Jerico on LoveFilmInstant – totally hooked!
I’ve lost my momentum with my 2013 Reading Challenge over on GoodReads – so August is the month to get my nose back in a book and get this back on track!

So, what does August have in store? I’m hoping for long, balmy summers evenings, catching up with family, escaping to the coast, knitting – I fancy doing lots of knitting – planning schedules and ideas for *new* (very exciting – so watch this space!) workshops!
