Quick-Make Christmas Stocking
All I can think about since coming home from Harrogate is Christmas – I don’t know whether it is the cold weather, the fact that this was the last show of the season, or that so many of the amazing people that I have met over the last few days have been talking about their Christmas shopping, and their festive wish list. Although I need very little encouragement when it comes to Christmas! One of my very favourite things about the festive season is putting up all the decorations. In particular, hanging up the Santa stockings – if there is one way to fast track that seasonal vibe its by hanging stockings. If I had my way, we’d put them up right after Halloween…but, I have it on very good authority that this is a little too early! So, I try to hold out until the first week of December. But, that doesn’t mean that I don’t start thinking about Christmas long before then. Not at all, I’ve already started picking out and writing my Christmas Cards and started to think about the all important gift lists, and making lists of all our family favourites to cook and prepare for the special day. As December is getting closer I’ve given in and decided that now if just the right time to start making some fun and cute things for Christmas – so, festive fans, you can expect a lot more seasonal treats in the coming weeks!
First on my list of make is a quick-make stocking – with a family bursting with Littles and all those Secret Santa gifts to deliver, I though what better way to present a little gift than in a custom made stocking? This cute little stocking can be personalised with an embroidered name, if you want to really wow! I love these jingle bells – it really adds a bit of Christmas magic! So, now for the rest of the day I think I’ll curl up with some Christmas movies to really fuel the excitement for the season – in our house Christmas starts when we watch The Nightmare Before Christmas – what’s your favourite Christmas movie?
