I’m not even going to pretend that I’m not excited about Christmas now. December starts tomorrow, and I have fully given myself the thumbs up for getting into the Christmas spirit.

I’ve decided that getting a little bit excited about Christmas is a pretty good thing, especially as, with the exception of a Crafty Secret Santa, I have made very little in-roads into the actual fixings of Christmas – the what gift for who, the what to eat, the what to drink, in fact , I’ve not really given much though to any of it yet!

So, I have decided that from this weekend, I shall be focusing on preparation, jubilation, creation and all things celebration to get everything just how we want it for the big day!

The first thing on my list is decorations – tucked away in the attic is the box of festive decs, there is no greater feeling then bringing this down and rediscovering all the seasonal goodies – and, adding to them of course. As a girl with lashings and lashings of bunting in every colour and for every occasion, I can’t wait to pull out all the pretty Christmas themed pennants and get them hanging. One thing that I’m really keen on adding to the collection of decorations this year is this fantastic Crochet Star Garland.

Christmas Sampler Made PeachyNot only is this just about the cutest sampler I’ve seen in ages and will look just awesome when finished and framed – you get all the fun of sitting in the chilly winter evening with a hot toddy (optional!) and creating this little keepsake design that you can bring out every year – neat huh?
